Values & Approach
We prioritise work with hard to reach and socially excluded individuals, groups and communities in Lancashire and across the North West. We as an organisation enable them to explore, realise and value their full potential. We design bespoke creative projects with a huge range of partners, from carers to carnival bands, which help participants gain new skills, build confidence and combat isolation.
We help people explore issues they care about and create inspirational projects that are key to their needs. For us, the process of creation, and personal growth of the target audience is as important as the final product.
We are proud of the wide range of organisations that we work with; from residents’ associations and youth groups in neighbourhoods across the county; through to organisations working in specific “issue” areas (e.g. health, disability, domestic violence); to the larger infrastructure organisations and consortia that work county-wide.
We are trusted, due to the integrity, experience and local knowledge in which we deliver projects. And as a result organisations return to work with us time and again. Statutory organisations recognise our position as a respected community organisation, and regularly contact us to act as a conduit between themselves and the communities we work in. Key individuals and activists also identify our strengths and work with us; and as a result we have strong links into neighbourhoods and ‘communities of interest’ (e.g. African Caribbean community, LGBT community -lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender), through our acquaintance with community leaders.
