Podcasting a Positive Preston
Artists using music, new media and language are working on a project to enable young men of the Callon and Fishwick wards in Preston to consider their identity, their relationship with each other and their relationship with the communities in which they live. An experienced sound artist facilitates the participants to make music from their voices and “sound machines” built from recycled material. A second new media artist, shares their technical skills with the groups whilst recording, mixing and broadcasting the sounds, rhythms and music. There second is also a trainee community artist working on the project utilising her experience in making her own music.
