Richard Lace

Community Radio Project Manager

Richard’s first job was at the BBC, managing capital engineering projects for radio and television. At the same time, he was heavily involved in the Woodcraft Folk, a national young people’s charity, and ran a number of media-based projects in a voluntary capacity. His current role is a nice mixture of the two. He is particularly proud to have been involved in Preston FM from the very start, and his favourite day at work ever was the full-time launch of the station, after three years’ planning, in October 2008. Richard’s ambition is to see Preston FM continue to offer life-changing opportunities to a wide variety of people from across the region, and to ensure that the resources to make this happen are in place.

His favourite river is the Paine river in the Chilean Andes, where he spent an excellent month hiking a couple of years ago.
