Projects

We design tailor-made, visual and performance art projects with a huge range of partners – from carers to carnival bands – which help participants gain new skills, build confidence and combat isolation.
We help people explore issues and create exciting, vibrant visual and performance art works. But for us the process of creation and the personal growth of the people creating are as important as the final product.
It might be that a particular place or activity has given you an idea: a dreary wall in a school entrance, a logo that is not serving its purpose any longer or a conference you are organising that needs perking up. Or it could be that you have an issue you’d like to open up creatively, like so many young people, teachers, parents and professionals who have already worked with us to explore the things that matter to them.
Here are just a few examples of some of our current and previous project work with communities across Lancashire and beyond:
We have a long history of this work hosting one of the county’s first ever dedicated arts and health full time posts in the 1980’s. We are working with UcLAN Healthy Prisons initiative and are developing projects through the Central Lancashire Arts and Health Network.
We work with young people in numerous places such as youth clubs and schools and through organisations such as Young Lancashire, Lancashire Children’s Rights and West Lancashire CVS.
We work with people who have disabilities in numerous ways such as projects to support integration in schools, promoting independence and self expression. We have longstanding relationships for example with Lancashire Centre for Independent Living, .
