Ribbleton & Deepdale: Free media training
Do you live or work in Ribbleton or Deepdale? Interested in getting some free journalism and media training?
We have two training courses coming up in these areas which will give you skills in Radio, TV, online media and using mobile technology, as well as making a difference to the areas you live in.
The courses are part of our brand new project, Speak Up Preston, which is focusing on using journalistic skills to be able to make a difference in different areas of the city.
You’ll be following hot on the heels of a group from St Matthew’s. Amongst other things, they’ve been looking at overflowing bins – perhaps there are issues like this that you would like to tackle in your area?
Training starts in Ribbleton on Monday 27th June, and runs on Mondays (4-6pm) at Ribbleton Library and Wednesdays (4-6pm) at Moor Nook EMB. Sessions will start in Deepdale a couple of weeks later.
If you’d like to be involved, or just want more information, then contact Darren on 01772 880791 or e-mail [email protected].
This is an exciting new project, but works best when local people who are passionate about where they live get involved – so spread the word and come along!
